CASE STUDY:  Privacy in the Park

Spuzzum Provincial Park maintains records of all individuals who camp in the park during a season. The purpose for these records includes: 1) public safety; 2) deterrence of vandalism; and, 3) research and park program evaluation. The registrants fill in a form that requests name, address, license plate number, Social Insurance Number and number of occupants in the party. The park manager sends every patron a Christmas greeting in the year they visited the park.

What, if any or all of the above, can the park manager do?
