Sue is currently the Director, Information Management in Alberta Government Services. She is responsible for leading the development of the Government of Alberta’s Information Management Framework and the government’s Records Management program. She serves as Vice Chair of the Alberta Records Management Committee, a committee responsible for approving retention and disposition schedules for the government.
She also led the introduction and implementation of Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation and provided support for its legislative review by a Select Special Committee of the Legislative Assembly.
Sue holds a BA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MLS from Dalhousie University. She also completed a Certificate in Management and Administration from the Canadian Institute of Management and obtained professional Certification in Records Management (CRM) from the Institute of Certified Records Managers in the U.S. She has also completed the Senior and Executive Managers Development Program through the University of Alberta School of Business.
Sue is an active member of several associations including ARMA International, the Institute of Public Administration (IPAC) and the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA). She has conducted numerous seminars for these and other groups.
