Michael Martin is a digital media, wireless, and broadband internetworking expert with 30 years of both technology management and business management experience. His career has included roles and responsibilities in sales, marketing, engineering, consulting, project management, and general management. Prior to joining IBM Canada as a Consultant and Digital Media Architect in January 2005, he served as President of consulting company, MICAN Communications. Before MICAN, he was President of Comlink Systems and Ensat Broadcast Services, as well as an officer of the publicly traded Cygnal Technologies. He holds project management certifications from York University and Stanford University. He earned the designation Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. Michael has completed internetworking and new media management education from University of Toronto and Ryerson University. The Society of Broadcast Engineers has granted him the designation, Certified Broadcast Network Technologist. Michael is currently pursuing an MBA with Athabasca University.
