Dave Cole serves as director of Symantec Security Response. Dave is a widely recognized information security professional with deep experience in both product management and professional services. Cole brings more than 10 years of information security experience to Symantec’s Security Response team where he oversees the growing security content business which reaches over 200+ million customer systems across the globe. He is one of the key spokespeople for the organization on breaking security events and forecasting the future of internet threats.
Prior to working at Symantec, Cole held numerous senior positions within market leading organizations such as Deloitte & Touche and several information security technology companies. Coles’ design work on security metrics, reporting, and remediation technology in the vulnerability management field has been submitted for U.S. patents.
Cole has been a featured speaker at a number of conferences such as ASIS, Black Hat, WebSec, and many others. He is a contributing author in the book Special Ops: Host and Network Security for Microsoft, UNIX, and Oracle and has written articles for publications such as Government Security News.
