Mike de Rosenroll is the Director General, Strategic Infrastructure Services Sector within the IT Services Branch (ITSB) of Public Works and Government Services Canada. He is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer, ITSB, for the development, implementation and governance of the Government's Secure Channel. This initiative provides the directory, network, authentication, authorization, payment, security and other shared services needed to support the government's internal, client-facing and inter-jurisdictional "Government on Line" objectives. Until joining ITSB, he served as Executive Director, IM/IT Infrastructure, Architecture and Security, accountable to Canada's Chief Information Officer for ensuring leadership in these areas. Mr. de Rosenroll’s past experience includes lengthy service with the federal and several provincial governments, working primarily in the justice, national security and IM/IT portfolios. As Executive Director, Legal Services, he was responsible to the Deputy Minister, Saskatchewan Justice, for the provision of civil, constitutional and legislative services to all provincial departments. Mr. de Rosenroll studied at the University of Victoria, where he obtained his BA (Honours Political Science). He received his LLB from the University of British Columbia and his MA (Government Studies) from Claremont Graduate School in California.
