Jean-François Luc is A/Director, Health Surveillance Coordination, for the Public Health Agency of Canada in Ottawa (Ontario). Mr. Luc joined Health Canada in 1999 as Project Manager for a national poisoning surveillance system development initiative. Since 2000, his efforts have focused on the development and implementation of operational policy and risk control frameworks in such areas as legislative and regulatory affairs, health information/privacy and intellectual property management. Over the course of his career, Mr. Luc has held a variety of positions in departments such as Industry Canada, Environment Canada and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. His background includes policy development and coordination, new product development, and information and intellectual property management. He is a science graduate from the Université de
Sherbrooke.
